Razer recently unveiled a new wireless keyboard designed specifically for gamers, the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%. This keyboard is targeted towards enthusiasts and comes with premium features such as hot-swappable functionality, a fast polling rate of up to 4,000Hz, and a small OLED display. The design of the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% bears a striking resemblance to the Asus ROG Azoth, another popular enthusiast keyboard in the market.
One of the key features of the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is its compatibility with Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology, which enables ultra-fast, low-latency connections with HyperPolling at up to 4,000 Hz. Users can also connect the keyboard via Bluetooth or through the included USB-C cable, providing flexibility in choosing the best connection method for their gaming setup.
The standout feature of the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is its 2-inch OLED display located at the top right of the keyboard. According to Razer, this display can showcase key information such as PC metrics, keyboard status, and custom animations. Adjacent to the display is the Razer Command Dial, which allows users to adjust volume, zoom into images, change tracks, and more. The functionality of the dial, along with other settings, can be personalized using Razer’s Synapse 4 software.
In terms of build quality, the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% boasts a top case constructed from recycled 5052 aluminum alloy with vibrant two-sided RGB underglow lighting and per-key RGB illumination. Users can customize the lighting effects through Razer’s Chroma app. The keyboard also features textured doubleshot PBT keycaps that allow RGB light to shine through, a plush magnetic leatherette wrist rest, pre-lubricated screw-in stabilizers, and sound-dampening materials within the PCB and case.
The Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is currently available for preorder exclusively through Razer’s online store for $299.99. It is set to be released at other retailers, including Amazon, on September 24. It’s worth noting that the Asus ROG Azoth, which offers similar features and more, is currently priced at under $200, making it a compelling option for gamers looking for a high-quality keyboard at a lower price point.
