Louis Brown, a 25-year-old man from Luton, has been identified as the second suspect charged in connection with an incident where a gun was allegedly pointed at a man in a shopping center in Watford. Brown, who resides on Union Street in Luton, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court and was remanded into custody until his next court appearance at St Albans Crown Court on November 5.
Previously, Mohammed Al-Saadi, a 23-year-old man from Slough, was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of a knife/bladed article in relation to the same incident. Al-Saadi is scheduled to appear at St Albans Crown Court on October 24. The incident took place at the Atria shopping center in Watford on September 24, where two men, including one with a gun, allegedly threatened another man, prompting him to flee. The police were alerted by CCTV operators, and a firearm was later discovered in the Sainsbury’s car park in Albert Road South.
Detective Sergeant Sarah Hern of the Watford Local Crime Unit expressed satisfaction with the additional charges brought against the suspects, emphasizing the commitment to removing such dangerous weapons from the streets.
