This October half-term, Woolwich Works will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland with a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy. The events venue located in Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, has announced a schedule of events running from October 23 to November 3.
One of the highlights of the Woolwich Works Halloween schedule is the drop-in Halloween Creation Stations, where children can get creative with crafts inspired by their favorite children’s stories. Additionally, there will be a Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave featuring world-famous DJ Prime Cuts, promising an energetic and fun-filled experience for all.
Kicking off the Halloween festivities on October 28 is an exciting Halloween hunt across the Royal Arsenal. Families can start at the Dial Arch pub, solve riddles, and search for hidden letters in shop windows to uncover the prize-winning word. Those who complete the hunt will be rewarded with a variety of prizes back at the starting point.
On October 30, Let’s All Dance Productions will present a brand-new ballet production for the whole family. Based on the story of The Ugly Duckling, this heartwarming performance promises crystal-clear storytelling and larger-than-life characters that will captivate audiences of all ages.
For those looking to unleash their creativity, teaching artist Christina Rose-Brown will lead Halloween Creation Stations on October 31. These free drop-in sessions will allow children to get crafty and draw inspiration from beloved children’s books. Whether it’s making a skeleton puppet from Funny Bones, crafting a mini broomstick from Room on a Broom, or designing a monster from Not Now Bernard, there’s something for every imagination to explore.
Later that same day, families can learn the iconic moves from Michael Jackson’s Thriller in a fun and interactive dance workshop. Suitable for beginners and families of all ages, the workshop will begin with a warm-up to a mix of dance floor favorites before diving into the famous choreography.
