CD Projekt Red has officially added support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 with Frame Generation, also known as FSR 3, in Cyberpunk 2077. This new feature was included in the latest patch, bringing the game to version 2.13. Along with FSR 3 support, the patch also includes support for Intel Xe Super Sampling 1.3 and the ability to enable both DLAA and DLSS Ray Reconstruction simultaneously.

FSR 3 with Fluid Motion Frames is AMD’s response to Nvidia’s Frame Generation technology and DLSS 3. It generates new frames based on existing frame data to create a smoother visual experience. However, AMD recommends a baseline performance of 60 fps before enabling FSR 3. Without reaching this baseline, visual artifacts and frame pacing issues may occur.

While players have been able to use FSR 3 in Cyberpunk 2077 through a mod since December 2023, the native implementation provided by CD Projekt Red offers a better experience. Players now have the option to choose between FSR 2.1 and FSR 3 to suit their preferred visual quality and performance settings.
