Elim House, a day care center established in 1980, has been providing quality care and support for the elderly Caribbean community in Southwark for over 40 years. While our main focus is on Caribbean service users, we also welcome individuals over 60 from African and other BME backgrounds.

At Elim House, we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where all center users can enjoy a variety of activities and receive the care they deserve. Our fully-accessible door-to-door transport service ensures that everyone can easily access our center on the days we are open – Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and now Wednesdays starting from the first week of December.

One of the highlights of our services is the delicious and nutritious meals we provide. Our hot cooked breakfast and lunch are prepared using fresh ingredients, and we take into consideration our service users’ dietary preferences and requirements. For some of our past service users, we even offer a meals on wheels service for lunches.

In addition to physical well-being, we also prioritize the mental and emotional health of our service users. We organize keep-fit sessions tailored to their mobility needs on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. For those who find comfort in faith, we offer a weekly session of prayers and hymn singing, as well as reassurance sessions to provide spiritual support.

Elim House is not just a place for care; it is a community where individuals can socialize, engage in activities, and feel supported. Our dedicated staff members work tirelessly to ensure that every person who walks through our doors feels valued and cared for.

As we continue to uphold our commitment to providing quality care for the elderly, we look forward to welcoming more individuals to Elim House and expanding our services to meet the diverse needs of our community. With our rich history and dedication to excellence, Elim House remains a beacon of hope and support for the elderly in Southwark.
