Zero Density recently made an exciting announcement regarding their Open Studio License Program, along with some enhancements to their Lino platform. The program offers free access to Zero Density’s Unreal-based graphics ecosystem for entities with annual revenues under $1 million. This means that independent creators, small businesses, and academic users can now enjoy the benefits of the software stack at no cost. For those exceeding the revenue threshold, the paid licensing model will still apply.
The Open Studio License Program provides users with full access to licenses for Reality5, Lino, Reality Hub, and the Traxis Hub within Zero Density’s ecosystem. This move was prompted by changes to the End User License Agreement by Epic Games, the company behind Unreal Engine. Users can now connect their Epic account to the Unreal GitHub environment to access the software and register to receive the necessary licenses, which are valid for one year.
Additionally, Zero Density has announced that Lino, their real-time motion graphics platform, will be moving into open beta after IBC2024. This development completes Zero Density’s ecosystem, allowing for the creation and management of all graphics within Unreal Engine. Key features of Lino include no-code customization, broadcast-ready features, seamless integration with Reality Hub, versatile output options, flexible asset management, and web-based accessibility.
Reality Hub, another component of Zero Density’s ecosystem, serves as a central control system for all graphics packages. When used with Lino, it enables users to manage channels and composite graphics with live feeds efficiently. The EVO II for Lino, Zero Density’s render engine, ensures high performance in demanding broadcast environments by utilizing top-of-the-line components.
