Croydon Harriers Shine at Surrey Young Athletes Cross-Country League
In a thrilling display of talent and determination, the Croydon Harriers made their mark at the Surrey Young Athletes Cross-Country League held at Nonsuch Park, Sutton. Among the standout performers was U17 girl Lucy Cole, who showcased her exceptional skills by securing the 13th position out of 87 participants, emerging as the highest-placed individual from the Croydon Harriers team.

The club’s success extended beyond Lucy Cole, with other members putting up commendable performances in their respective categories. U15 athlete Aida Palomares Dominguez finished 38th with a time of 18:16, while U17 runner Caroline Kennefik secured the 74th spot with a time of 20:20. The U15-17 boys’ team, comprising younger runners, achieved a notable 10th position out of 16 squads. Francis Bambury led the team with a strong performance, finishing 50th in 15:53. Elliott Peacock followed closely behind at 65th place with a time of 16:34, showcasing his promising talent. Sean Leahy, Luke Basauskas, and Zephyr Walinets also contributed to the team effort with their impressive runs, highlighting the depth of talent within the Croydon Harriers.
