Panto season is here, and we are excited to introduce two new faces gracing the stage at Greenwich Theatre. Samuel Bailey takes on the role of Dick Whittington, while Jasmine Jules Andrews portrays Alice Fitzwarren in this year’s production.

James Haddrell, the Artistic Director of Greenwich Theatre, shared his personal connection to pantomimes, highlighting the impact these performances have on audiences. Both Samuel and Jasmine also expressed their fondness for pantomimes, with Samuel revealing his love for Aladdin and Jasmine recalling her experience playing Tickle in Snow White as a child.

When asked about their characters, Samuel shared his excitement about portraying Dick Whittington, a young man on a journey to London in search of success with his loyal cat, Tommie. Jasmine spoke about her character, Alice Fitzwarren, emphasizing her trust in Dick Whittington when others doubt him.

Samuel and Jasmine both discovered their passion for theatre at a young age, with Samuel recalling his experience performing in Disney’s Newsies at the Olivier Awards and Jasmine reminiscing about playing Cher in The Cher Show. Despite the uncertainties of the acting industry, both actors remain committed to honing their craft and embracing new challenges.

Looking ahead, Samuel expressed his determination to continue working hard and seizing new opportunities, while Jasmine’s goal is to grace the stage of a West End production. As these talented actors embark on their theatrical journey, we can’t wait to see where their passion and dedication take them next.
