Irish startup Imvizar has recently secured €1.5 million in funding to launch its no-code augmented reality creation tool, Lureo, and support its expansion in the US. The funding comes from Delta Partners VC, as well as support from industry experts such as Gareth Lambe, Michael Dywer, Nigel Byrne, and Enterprise Ireland.

Imvizar, founded by Michael Geurin in 2021, focuses on creating immersive experiences for tourism and entertainment by bringing characters and environments to life through augmented reality. The company already collaborates with various tourist attractions, artists, influencers, and universities, blending technology with storytelling.

The Lureo creation tool is designed to allow anyone, regardless of their technical skills, to create high-quality augmented reality experiences. With a user-friendly interface, Lureo caters to a wide range of creators, including filmmakers, marketers, and educators. Imvizar has already attracted clients such as Salesforce, Grant Thornton, and North Carolina State University since its inception in 2021. The company offers its augmented reality experiences in various countries, including Ireland, the US, Portugal, and Australia, at popular tourist destinations like Spike Island, Sligo, Dublin, Waterford, and the Kerry Way.
