A man named Fougo Humberto, aged 52, was recently caught by a group of vigilantes in North London for sending inappropriate content to girls he believed were 12 and 13 years old. Little did he know, these girls were actually decoys set up by a group known as Bmb Hunterz. Humberto engaged in conversations with these decoys, sending them explicit videos and encouraging inappropriate behavior. The Cambridge Constabulary reported that he targeted three victims in total, all posing as young girls.
On April 16, 2021, Humberto was apprehended at Bush Hill Park Railway Station in Enfield, North London, after being led there by the activist group pretending to be teenagers. A video posted on their Facebook page captured the moment of his arrest, where Humberto can be seen listening to the evidence against him before being taken into custody by the police.
In October, Humberto appeared in Peterborough Crown Court and was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for two years. He pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and encouraging minors to watch sexual content. Detective Constable Zip Lloyd emphasized the seriousness of the case, highlighting the potential harm that Humberto’s actions could have caused to children. While no physical contact was made, the psychological impact of such abuse on victims is profound, and justice was served in this instance.
It is crucial to address such cases and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions to prevent further harm to vulnerable individuals. The work of vigilant groups and law enforcement agencies in identifying and apprehending individuals like Humberto plays a significant role in ensuring the safety of children in our communities.
