Five Guys and Heathrow are like BFFs now because they’re teaming up to open a new restaurant at Heathrow Terminal 5 later this year. This will be the first time Five Guys is setting up shop in a UK and European airport, so it’s a pretty big deal. The restaurant will be a decent size at 2,500 square feet on the upper level of Heathrow T5, and they’re expecting to serve around 90 hungry travelers at a time. Not to mention, they’ll also have a quick takeaway option for those on the go. The best part? This new spot will create about 80-100 new jobs at the terminal, so props to Five Guys for hooking people up with work.
The restaurant will be open from the first flight to the last flight, so you can get your burger fix any time of day. They’ll even have breakfast and daytime menu options for those early morning travelers. And get this, they’re going all out with a dedicated Welcome Host to greet passengers. Fancy, right? Plus, there will be more ordering kiosks in six different languages and travel-friendly features to make everyone’s experience smoother. John Eckbert, the CEO of Five Guys UK, is obviously stoked about this new venture, saying, “We are thrilled to be opening a brand new Five Guys at Heathrow Terminal 5 this year. Having opened over 170 restaurants across the UK since we first launched back in 2013, the brand has established itself as one of the nation’s favourites for premium burgers.”
Fraser Brown, the Retail Director at Heathrow, is equally pumped about the partnership, stating, “We’re very excited to welcome Five Guys to Terminal 5 – becoming the first airport in the UK and Europe to host the beloved burger brand. This exciting addition reflects our commitment to making every journey better, as we continue to build an extraordinary airport fit for the future. We’re confident this new arrival will be a hit with our passengers.” Five Guys originated in Virginia back in 1986 and made its way to the UK in 2013, starting off in London’s Covent Garden. Now, the American-diner style restaurant is making its mark at Heathrow, ready to serve up their delicious menu to travelers passing through. So, get ready to chow down on some premium burgers before catching your flight!
